How Can Frequent Ear Discharges Be Treated?

Hello Doctor! I was told by the doctors in year 2008 that I am suffering from sensorineural hearing loss and advised me to go for hearing aids. Since then I am using hearing aids but recently there was discharge from my left ear and it has been frequent now. So advise me the best treatment.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi ,
Thank for asking to HCM.

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Keep ear dry (don't put any ear drop) ,don’t allow water go inside while bath , Use antibiotic Ofloxacin + ornidazole & Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast .

Also keep hearing aid clean & keep in formalin box when not use .

Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
