hey, i have just found out a previous partner of mine has passed gonorrhoea to another girl im not sure if he contracted it before or after me but im very worried as im 20 weeks pregnant, would i have been screened for this or would it have shown up in any tests i have had?, Sian
You need to get tested for gonorrhoea by getting vaginal swabs taken by a gynaecologist or midwife. Checking urine for gonorrhoea is not very accurate. gonorrhoea during pregnancy need special care, so it is best if you get tested and rule out infection.
Hope this helps. Regards.
