How Can Headaches At Random Hours Be Treated?

Hi, about a week ago i developed a weird mild headache, its only on the right side of my head and a little more towards the front than the back, its not particularly sore per say but its noticeable that there is something annoying there, just want to know if its anything particularly different or is it just a headache?

Hello,

There are many types of headaches ranging from tension headaches to migraines. Tension headaches tend to be on both sides of the head whereas migraines are more commonly on one side. That being said, there are exception. A migraine would not be as mild as you are describing, so it sounds like something else.

If you have allergies or sinus problems those could cause a headache on one side of the head, as could an old prescription of glasses (more eye muscle fatigue on one side vs the other).

Overall, it does not sound severe. I would recommend trying some neck stretches and heating pads on your neck. If you are having allergies, try taking an allergy medication. If the pain is bothersome you can try some tylenol or ibuprofen or equivalent. It will likely go away as quickly as it started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
