How Can Hemoglobin Levels Be Increased?
Doctor my name is yogaraj. and i am from india. i have a query about blood level increasing in our body. why i am asking means my girl friend Blood (hemoglobin) level is very low 6 mg/dl please give me the suggestion to get her hemoglobin level reach at normal level. within 2 weeks we need to get blood level normal. for that give me suggestion.

mr yograj ...your girlfroend level is 6 and you want it to go to 12 in 2 weeks ...please understand that fastest way to increase level by blood transfusion ...but she will need more than 10 transfusions ..and second is intravamuscular iron injections ..and last option is oral tablets ...now blood transfusions has own risk factors...injections are painful amd oral iron is safest method ..but i would try to find out the cause of low hb level ..i would order liver function tests ...kidney function tests ...thyroid tests ...urine test and stool test for blood ...if all these come normal then last test is thalassemia test and hemolytic panel ...please visit a local doctor he will guide you

2 weeks is a short span of time. For such a quick response you might need blood transfusions. Start her on oral iron folic acid and vitamin b12 tablets not to be taken with milk curd etc. However oral intake will take time to increase hb. If still it does not increase go in for a pbf and hb electro pores is test
