Hi there, i got checked and my uric acid level is 7.4 which is higher than normal value i,e 6.2 hence doctor precribed me febustat40mg twice a day it shown improvment in toe like almost ok but now again edge line of my lilltle finger slightly swellen . I m very much fed up its more than a month kindly help.

Hi,
Marginal elevation of uric acid may not require tablets to reduce the uric acid. Adequate hydration. Avoid red meat if nonvegetarian. Avoid alcohol if you are consuming. Avoid tea.
When you have joint pain better to take painkillers like ibuprofen, indomethacin. If uric acid is very high like more than 10 may require febuxostat.
