Hello doctor this is swathi. I have thyroid problem . Last 6 weeks back tsh 8.7 now tsh is 4.3, t3 and t4 are normal. This disease is life long we can not control this . Plz suggest to me how can I am control.age is 28 years.I am using thyronorm 25 mcg tablet(when tsh is 8.7). Now I am use 12.5 mcg tablet.
I think you can stop thyronorm and repeat TSH after 6 weeks. No need to start Thyronorm unless TSH is above 10. TSH below 10 is called Subclinical Hypothyroidism and does not need treatment (unless you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant). But keep a watch on your TSH levels.
