Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
Proxyvan comes under opioid category of substance use. It is notorious for it's propensity to cause seizures (fits). Hence, i appreciate your effort to quit proxyvan use. What we normally do is to calculate the opioid equivalents of amount of proxyvan you are taking and to substitute with drugs like buprenorphine which is a partial opioid agonist and then gradually taper it off. This is called as detoxification. Also we recommend psychotherapy techniques like relapse prevention sessions and motivational interviewing to prevent relapse once detoxified. I would recommend you meet a psychiatrist for the above management as early as possible.
Discuss this with your doctor and then decide
Hope this helps
