How Can I Remove The Skin Discoloration In Face?
I was wearing gold coated metal spectacles. The gold coating got worn out on the legs of the spectacle frame and the exposed base metal caused a black skin discoloration on my face. initially it was small and later it spead to an area of 5-6 sq.cm on my temple area. It stopped spreading anymore but the black patch stayed for 2 years. How to remove it?

THis kind of pigmentation with metal spectacles is very common.
You can apply any depigmenting cream like clearz cream continuously for atleast 2 weeks. Wew have used it in our patients are results are really very good. So, i will advice you to start the treatment under supervision and you can get back to me after 2 weeks

Hello and welcome to HCM,
I read your query and understood your concern. You are having what we call as allergic contact dermatitis with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, inflammation of skin when exposed to certain corrosive metals.
Apply a mild corticosteroid over the area like hydrocortisone, once at night. After a month decrease the it to alternate nights and then twice weekly and stop using it within 2 months of initializing treatment. This could be followed by topical de pigmenting agents like hydroquinone or kojic acid.
Keep the area well moisturized. And most importantly change your spectacles.
