How Can Inflammation Around A Mosquito Bite Be Treated?
I was bitten on the arm by a mosquito here in Spain and it became hard, swollen and hot to the touch. After two days it was still hot and started to experience numbness down one side of my body. The numbness has now gone, the area round the bite is still warm, but less hot than it was. what should I do?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is very common for some people to have a higher reaction to mosquito bites. I would suggest apply a steroidal cream like Flutivate twice a day over the concerned area for 3-4 days.
You could in between also apply a moisturizer.
Hope I have answered your query.
