How Can Irritation And Uneasiness Be Addressed Given My Enlarged Prostate And Urine Retention Despite Taking Tamsulosin And Sabal Pentarkan?

Hi, I have enlarged prostrate since long. But recently in my Ultrasound it seems that there is a good amount of retention of urine after my urine pass. I am taking one medicine called Omnic (0.4 mg Tamsulosin) but still I feel irritation & uneasiness. Now I am simultaneously taking one popular homeopathic medicine called Sabal Pentarkan for inflammation remedy. Kindly advice

Hi,

Tamsulosin is an alfa blocker, which causes relaxation of muscles of prostate & thus helps in easy passage of urine. However, it has does not reduce the size of prostate. Therefore, for this you may use a combination of alfa blocker as well as a medicine from 5 alfa reductase inhibitor to reduce the size of prostate like Dutasteride or Finasteride. If, it does not solve the problem, then surgery seems the next option. For screening for prostatic malignancy, a test of PSA profile is always advised.
