Hi,

Irritation in the throat or esophagus may be due to pharyngitis or gastroesophageal reflux disease or esophagitis or esophageal spasm etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food, alcohol consumption, smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use tablet Pantoprazole.

If symptoms not improved please get it done upper GI scopy and consult your gastroenterologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
