How Can Itching On The Scalp And New Breakouts On The Back Be Treated?
I am on eloquist. The itching in scalp and tiny bite marks on back that don t go away and new breakouts are making me cray. Been to three dermatologists, one said bedbugs. Had my apt checked out, no bugs, another said maybe scabies from hospital. Gave me some terrible creme. Nothing. The third gave me gabapentin which I dumped after a week. My cardiologist said I could switch to Xarelta but reading that s worse. I wish I could get off.....I take medapolol, and statin with the eloquist. Any suggestions? Will the itching go away?
Hello and welcome to `Ask A Doctor` service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the issue seems perspiration induced or fungal, bacterial infection of the scalp skin.
* A dermatologist is best person to cure this with oral medications with anti histamine, anti fungal and anti biotic for faster healing.
Feel free to post further doubts. Thank you.
