How Can Itchy Rashes Under The Breasts Be Treated?

hi I was told by my Dr that the itchy rash I went with was Senile Pruritus and given E45 itch relief cream, Telfast fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets to take once a day [but could take another if needed] and a shampoo. This was just a week ago and the cream makes it itch worse, the tablets don t last for 24 hrs so I take another but get funny feeling lips. I spend my time in the cold and am holding ice packs on my body. The worst parts are under my bustline [and it is a very small bust] so not really a sweat rash, but is very, very itchy and pimply. Also above my bust up to my neck. I am miserable with it. I am 70 now but very active in family child minding. What else can you suggest?

Hello,

As per your clinical history, is concerned please follow like this-
1) Do a clinical examination by your doctor [Dermatologist] and to confirm it do a patch test.
2) Discuss with your doctor about prescription like [oral steroid and steroid cream on skin]
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this-
1) Try to avoid irritants and allergens. Try to identify and avoid substances that irritate your skin or cause an allergic reaction.
2) Wash your skin. You might be able to remove most of the rash-causing substance if you wash your skin right away after contacting it. Use a mild, fragrance-free soap and rinse completely and wear protective clothing.
3) Apply an iron-on patch to cover metal fasteners next to your skin.
4) Use moisturizer. It can help restore your skin's outermost layer and keep your skin supple.
5) Take care of pets if you have.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
