My teenage daughter continues to get red itchy rashes on her face which are leaving dark brown spots which are not fading. We have done multiple blood tests, nothing showed, been to all specialists they do not know what this skin reaction(disease) is. It started about a year ago, it triggers when she is exposed to excessive sun and also at the beginning of her nenstrual cycle. Please advise on what this condition is and how do we treat it.
It may be photosensitive dermatitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend her to avoid sun exposure. And give her antihistaminics like desloratidine and oral steroid in tapering dose. Apply mild steroid cream like mometasone cream.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
