Hello. My 84 year old father had knee replacement surgery around 10 days ago. According to my mother, he has been hot and then cold and hot and then cold. When he was in rehab they found a slight kidney infection. Is this something to worry about?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Firstly, the presence of infection in the kidney need to be ascertained by means of urine routine examination, urine culture and sensitivity test along with ultrasound scan of the abdomen.
If the reports indicate that there is infection, it can be treated by means of appropriate course of antibiotics.
Kindly consult Urologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management in this regard.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
