How Can Knee Inflammation With Kneecap Discomfort Be Treated?

My knee feels as though it has tonsilitis (is that housemaid s knee) or is it like an artery thing (would taking asparins for artery s help - as there is heart disease in our family - my half brother died of that when he was 52; my dad did when he was 85, my grandfather did when he was 71 and my mother had a heart operation 10 years ago); the feeling of a pinching of things near my kneecap but underneath the skin.
