How Can Labia Growth, Vaginal Pain And Abnormal Discharge Be Treated?

Hi, So I found this very large, hard pimple type things on the outer wall of my inner labia. It s kinda far in and it s gotten larger over the last few days. I ve been having abnormal discharge (white, kinda chunky, more than normal) and overall my vagina has just kinda been hurting. I m 18 years old, about 120lbs and have never had sex so it shouldn t be an std! I did have one of these pimple things about 3-5 years ago but I haven t noticed it again til now. What should I do about this?

Hello,

You are suffering from a large, hard pimple on the outer wall of the inner labia, your private area is hurting and is sore. You have never had sex before. Your symptoms are indicative of either sebaceous cyst or Bartholin cyst. You are suggested to take care of your hygiene. Get clinically examined by an OBGYN. You will be given conservative treatment or treated by giving incision and drainage if abscess has formed.

In the mean time do not touch, pop or scratch. You can apply Soframycin ointment to get relieve. Take acetaminophen or naproxen to get rid of pain, hurt and soreness. Take a course of Augmentin or Doxycycline to control infection and reduce inflammation. Wash the area affected with water every time you go to washroom. Do not indulge into any type of sexual activity for a couple of days while you are being treated.

Get clinically examined & treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
