Hello,

I can understand your concern. Hair removal creams sometimes do cause skin burns if applied on sensitive skins and to people who cannot tolerate the chemical used in the cream.

I would advise you to apply local Cetrimide cream (Burnol Plus) to the burnt area over the upper lip. This will help in soothing the burning, will help in faster healing and will also prevent infection in the area.

Usually, if the area is small, it will not cause scarring of the area. I would advise you not to use these creams in future as your skin in having allergies to them or is too sensitive to tolerate the chemical.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. Let me know if you have follow up questions.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
