well I messed up and took a extra dose of janumet mg/1,000mg I had taken my normal evening dose about 5:30pm and went to take my night time simvastatin and took a janumet instead, at about 10:20pm. I checked my blood sugar when I realized I took the jaunumet and it was 114. I then ate about a 1/2 pint of ice cream normal type not no sugar added. What should I do to make sure my sugar doesn't get too low ? I need to go to bed as I need to work tomorrow I'm almost 65 years old and weigh 185.

How Can Low Blood Sugar Levels Be Prevented?
Hello, You can drink something sugary like juice. There is nothing much to be worried. Janumet is not likely to cause significant lows in blood sugar level. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regard, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
