General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible inflammation of tonsils or adenoid glands.
* Guidelines at present
- gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times day
- plenty of liquids in sessions
- dietary precautions to avoid spices, aerated drinks, dairy products
- prescription of antibiotics as fluoroquinolones or cephalosporins from your GP
- intake of tablet ibuprofen with antacid such as ranitidine helps if there is no history of drug sensitivity to the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
