How Can Memory Loss Be Treated?

I've been looking for something to slow down my memory loss. I don't have Alzeimers, but I sure do "misplace" a lot of things and spend a lot of time looking for them. A nurse gave me the name Donepezil, but after looking at the side effects, it a no-no for me. I am 95 and still living in my ownhome with an aid a couple times a week. Is there any other medicines you might suggest?

You are 95 and its common to day cognitive decline at your age. Age related cognitive decline is common reason for memory issues than the Alzheimer's in your case. Donepezil is a safe drug. Some individual develop side effects with this drug but in most of them these last for only a week or two. You will start tolerating the drug. You should restart the drug and this will surely help you.
