How Can Migraine And Photo Phobia Be Treated?

I had a week of constant migraine pain with extreme sensitivity to any light, and used ice packs (mask) on eyes trying to sleep, with 800mg Motrin and 1000 mg Tylenol, alternating. Also, my eyes would nearly swell shut after lying down, and have a drainage. I took 10 days of a Penicillin based antibiotic and had felt better within 8 hours. I took the antibiotics 2x daily for 10 days.I felt so much better, got my energy back and was well until 48 hours after my antibiotics were completed.I do not have a clue what is wrong.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Looking at your symptoms migraine seems to be a bigger problem. You need to identify the aggravating factor for it. Common ones are sunlight exposure, lack of sleep, chocolates. Kindly review these and let me know. Please get your vision checking done for refractive error. The antibiotics probably were not required as the cause does not look to be infectious.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
