I pulled two hairs out of a mole, about two days later the mole is swollen and hurts. It is not changing colors, it is symmetrical, and is smaller than a pencil eraser. I am icing it which makes the pain go away and taking ibuprofen. Should I be concerned?

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Aditi Garg's Response
improper removal of hair from mole can sometimes lead to infection. u should just take some anti-inflammatory medicine & your pain & swelling will subside soon. u need not be so much concerned, but u should avoid plucking hair from mole from now on.
