How Can Night Sweats And Hot Flashes Be Treated?

Help for night sweats and hot flashes. I am 72 yrs. old have tried many medications, black cohash, Zoloft, Effexor, and plant hormones. I have had this issue for over 20 years, my doctor feels I may be in the 5% who may have them the rest of my life. I definately have sleep issues, I m wakened about every hour & 1/2 with night sweats. Dr. is having me try a 6 wks. trial of Paxil now, haven t started yet, just weaning from the Effexor. Can you give me any advice!

Hello,

You may be suffering from menopausal syndrome.
If you're male it is possible that you may be suffering from andropause.
Please do regular walking, use tablet 60,000 IU vitamin D weekly once for five weeks. Hormonal replacement therapy sometimes useful.

Continue antidepressant and painkillers medication. Do regular yoga and meditation. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
