My husband has hereditary OPCA--SCA. HE IS 70 years old and has had it for about 12 years, and this, last year has gotten severely worse. He collapsed on 12/16 -- could not move his legs,,fell out of bed, and could not walk--called 911--went to hospital for 2 weeks, then to. Sub-acute nursing home, which was the pits. He is now in a wonderful facility;however, all the patients are asking him why he is there because he is so young. He understands, but I am wondering if there is a way he can come back from this? Thank you. This is in his family.
