Hi doc, EENT Doctor diagnosed me that i have submandibular gland enlargement/ sialadenitis, neck ultrasound & FNAB w/ ultrasound guided carried out. i dont feel any pain in enlarge area only when i press it slightly hard, and felt some foreign object at back of the submandibular gland when i swallowed with my head up. can advise me what to do. Regards
I think if sialadenitis has been recognized as diagnose, should get treated straight away by ENT specialist. However, we should first determine what is causing it: infection? calculi? or any other pathology?
Normally, the treatment is according to the main cause.
I think you should get regular follow ups with ENT specialist. He/she will decide the best treatment strategy.
