How Can One Deal With Intense Depression?

my friend must have a deep depression, her bedroom is so piled up she sleeps on the sofa in the living room, and she recently bought a flat screen tv and stand to go with it as an incentive to clean up her place, but the boxes are just sitting there with all the other stuff, I don t see how to help her.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Don't over read into it. Depression, disappointment and laziness are different things. The signs you are mentioning could simply be dissatisfaction coupled with laziness. I think you should talk to your friend and find out the reason. If your friend is not talking, then observation could be another option. Observe without any predisposition. Your friend could be in a simple adolescent state or in a role confusion of adult.

Please post a direct question to me in this website. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe some psychotherapy techniques which should help you cure your condition.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
