Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my doctor prescribed progesterone after bone scan revealed osteoporosis. I m 64/65 next month and have always been opposed to taking hormones. I still have ovaries and uterus (with fibroids I might add -- which have atrophied over time). Is there a link or study or cutting edge opinion that progesterone can be beneficial in reversing or halting and/or slowing the progression of osteoporosis?
