How Can Pain And Burning Sensation On The Left Side Of The Head Be Treated?

yesterday, I had a severe quarrelling (shouting) while driving in the evening. I wanted to keep mum but could not. I had to repulse to her. suddenly, I felt pain and burning-feel in the left side of head just upper the ear and close to eyebrow. Still it persists although 20 hours passed. please advise what to do. I slept 6 hours last night. thanks. robin

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Given your description of a headache triggered by a stressful event, I would say that a tension-type headache is the most common possibility. It is a benign headache often triggered by stress and anxiety. For the moment I would suggest simply rest and an over the counter medication such as Ibuprofen for the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
