How Can Pain And Swelling In The Pelvic Area Be Treated?

Hi. I am experiencing problems with my uterus I started having sex again after a long time not having.
I had a lot of it and ended up with a UTI of Ecoli which I am about to stay medication for but it feels my uterus is enlarged and swollen. I have been in terrible pain for about a week or so and my period has just started and it’s very sore.
Can you help at all.

My periods have only been sore the last two months since I started having intercourse again. Only this time had it been been sore since I got my UTi for three weeks so far.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

So just go for an ultrasound of your uterus so it can rule out the swollen uterus and its cause; then go for painkiller tablets. Your pain will be relieved. You may take tab Dicyclomine twice a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Minakshi Biradar, OBGYN
