How Can Pain And Swelling On The Ball Of The Foot Be Treated?

I have waves of pain in the ball of my left foot. It is swollen to the point that when I try to flex it, the pain increases. I can walk, but I couldn t sleep last night due to the pain flashes. What can I do immediately to reduce the swelling and pain level?

Hi,

Consult a physician and get an X-ray and also do a serum uric acid study.

The symptoms are consistent with gout and you can take analgesics like Tramadol or Diclofenac for pain relief.
