How Can Pain In The Eyes And Photo Phobia Be Treated?

I have eye pain. Sensitivity to light, cold and touch. a sensation under the edge of my eyelid, when lid is closed, not open. a bit of dizziness. three months ago had very distinct scintillating scotoma incidents- three times; I now see some scintillation at very bottom of eye, usually in AM, two times only this appeared at top of eye. There is a visual puddle at outside of eye. Coincidentally, these symptoms all began about 5 days post cataract surgery. My surgeon gives me samples of eye drops- this is no help. Often, my eyes are so strained and tired after being up and using them, I am taking extended rest in the dark is afternoon. What next?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Get a retina check up done . See the lens is just like a screen only and the it's main work is focusing. Vision is a function of the retina and the way you are describing it looks like the vitreous has undergone some degenerations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
