Hi. I have been having right groin pain for several week now. I did not fall or strain my muscles in any way. It came on suddenly. The pain is constant and during the day causes weight bearing issues on that side. I have a hard time standing up unless I pull myself up or push off the floor. At night I can't find a comfortable position to sleep and the pain is interefering with sleep. I am 55 yrs old and female. I have tried stretching exercises but it has no effect.
Groin pain can be due to stretching of ligaments of the thigh or groin, ovarian cyst or pelvic infection. I will suggest you to consult an OB-GYN specialist for proper examination and treatment accordingly. A pelvic ultrasound may be required.
