Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Started 15mg once a day Meloxicam for two weeks. Releaved body pains and about 75% of swelling in wrist and fingers of both hands. I can still grip a golf club loosley. Hard to twist bottle caps etc. What do you recommend to help with Meloxicam? My recent blood test are negative. I am 77, long time athlete with one each hip and knee replaced. Also taking blood thinner.
You can benefit from the following:-
1- Rest your wrist.
2- Apply cold compressors to your wrist.
3-Apply topical analgesics and anti-inflammatory medications.
4-Take over the counter analgesics.
5-Do few tests such as blood tests, rheumatoid test, and X-ray.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Take care.
