How Can Partial Hearing Loss With Ear Hardness Be Treated?

i am a 26 y/o female. as a child i had tonsils and adenoids out and also had tubes put in both ears twice. for years i have noticed that i constantly feel like something is blocking my hearing yet the dr said my hearing was fine? it is hard for me to hear someone when other noises are around and its worse in my right ear. also im not sure if it is my lymphnoid, but for some time the one just under my right ear is hard and bigger than the left side... could any of this be tied in together? should I be worried from the hard hearing or the hard mass?

Hello,

Having removed your tonsils and adenoid and tubes in the ears suggest that you might be suffering from poor ventilation of behind ears. Possibly you might be having fluid behind the drum or your drum might not be functioning properly. Swelling below ear lobe may not be tied with your ear problem, possibility is very rare but not unusual. General advice:
1. Take steam inhalation
2. Perform valsalva manoeuvre
3. Avoid agents causing cold and cough
Next step:
1. Visit an ENT surgeon for physical examination of ear and neck
2. Have audiometry including tympanometry
3. Nasal endoscopy
4. Imaging for neck node

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
