How Can Paternity And The Conception Partner Be Confirmed?
i had sex with two partners in december. My first was december 2nd-december 8th my second was december 10th all the way until now. I have no idea when my last mentrual cycle was but i do know it either began november 22nd or november 26th. My doctor says i am due september 3rd 2010 and i concieved december 11th. i am very confused on who i concieved with. please help.
hello it will be difficult to diagnose paternity just on the basis of due dates & conception dates as they may not be accurate from ur 3 September due date & 11 Dec conception date ur period most likely began 26 November .but conception dates can vary . as only 2 days difference in partners ( Dec 8 & Dec 10 ) so paternity cannot be accurately predicted in ur case
blood group of the child & father may indicate paternity in certain cases but again this may not be confirmatory .
for confirmation of paternity, dna samples of father & child r matched . but for this u have to wait till the child is born
Meanwhile u can also check for any lab which tests fetal dna from maternal blood in antenatal period other procedures to obtain fetal dna in antenatal period r risky for the baby & hence not advisable
hope this answer helps you
