How Can Persistent Scalp Odor Be Treated?

I want to know how can I get rid of this scalp odor I have. I wash my hair once a week and after about the third day, the smell returns. I have used head and shoulders...t gel...nizoral...and sulphur 8 shampoo but this odor still comes back. What can I do?
