How Can Petechiae On The Legs Be Treated?

I think I’m having a petechiae break out on my legs. It’s been almost a week and it hasn’t gotten better. It’s not my razor because I don’t have it in other places I shaved, and I don’t take any medication. I haven’t changed my diet, body wash, or laundry soap and I’m starting to get a little concerned. It isn’t itchy and they aren’t bumpy and I can’t get into my health care provider for another week, what do you recommend?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of petechie on legs, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
