How Can Poor Vision Be Treated?

I am 62 yrs old, My eyes struggle to track. Up close my eyes don t want to move in and at distance they don t want to move out, basically they are stiff and don t want to move. I have 1 pair of glasses for reading and computer that have the correct prism, but need a different prism for distance. I have tried to have 2 pair of glasses but am unable to go back and forth with the different prisms, it makes me dizzy, My doctor has done many things with different prisms, glasses, ect. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The problem with the vision you are facing might not seem to be due to refractory errors which could be corrected with glasses alone. You need to get checked for glaucoma by measuring the intraocular pressure. Also, the condition of your retina also needs a check.
Changes in these could also be associated with variations with vision. Kindly consult Opthalmologist (Eye Specialist) for further evaluation to check for intraocular pressure and retinal examination (fundoscopy). Management of your condition would depend on the evaluation findings.

Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
