How Can Prostate Cancer Be Treated?

I am 70 and have prostate cancer per biopsy in 2010 that showed to positive samples out of 85. the gleason score was 3+3 =6. In 2015 another biopsy showed no change. My new urologist thought that I should have already had it out. Seem to discourage watchful waiting. Are my options starting to be less at my age? Should I continue the watchful waiting protocol? My previous Urologist thought I was doing fine for now.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

With a gleason score that high, watchful waiting would not be recommended. I think you should have a serious discussion with your urologist about treatment options.
