Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had several benign masses removed from my abdominal walls in 2014, however in 2005-2016, a basketball mass was removed from right buttock and they stated endometriosis. 7 surgeries for removal, drainage, open wound and it refilling the space was finally closed in 2016-2017. Now diagnosed again with another cyst/mass in same area!
Who is the field of study to which I can see to stop these from happening? I also was just diagnosed with nodules on thyroid, are these two connected?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As per my surgical experience, the recurrent abdomen cysts are independent of thyroid nodules development, unless there is underlying hormone imbalance common for both.
* However, I would like to discuss the issue further with all details of previous surgeries, OT notes, biopsy, CT , lab reports to consider it more precisely in greater depth.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
