How Can Recurrent Fever Along With Abdominal Cramps And Diarrhea Be Treated?

My symptoms have continued for four days with fever, that breaks with heavy sweating, and then after a few hours starts back up again, abdominal cramps, fatigue, and watery diarrhea. I have had no appetite for four days. No vomiting has occurred. I am treating with sleep, Tylenol, and plenty of liquids. Concerned about reoccurring fever.

Hi,

The possible causes of recurrent fever or intermittent fever Borrelia recurrentis infection or tuberculosis or malaria or infective endocarditis or rat bite fever etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Get it done complete blood picture, peripheral smear for malaria, Widal, blood cultures and urine examination.

Continue antipyretics, drink plenty of liquids. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
