How Can Ribcage Pains With Prominence From An Old Injury Be Treated?
Hi, I have broken my left rib cage about 10 years Go from falling down a flight of stairs. I never did go to the hospital for it. Now it seems to be giving me problems, pains in the front and back. Specially when I sit for long periods of time. My rib also sticks out much farther than the other. Any suggestions if I should go and get X-rays done. I d hate to be causing more problems. Thanks, ive
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have broken left rib cage about 10 years back. You are thinking that this old injury is causing problem now. It is unlikely that pains you are feeling can be due to this . For knowing its cause you can get your x-ray done. Till then you can empirically treat it as muscular pain by rest and analgesics (DICLOFENAC). You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
