I am 81 years old. I am quite active for my age. I have an almost constant runny eyes and nose. I was recently operated on to enlarge the tear ducts to accommodate the tears. After surgery and a lot of misery, it is no better. what path do you suggest I take now?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You may be suffering from chronic allergic rhinitis with conjunctivitis. Lacrimal duct closure also may cause tears in the eyes. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet Levocetirizine twice a day for five days. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
