How Can Severe Debilitating Menstrual Cramps Be Treated?

Hello! My name is Glory. I’m 20 years old, I’m 51 kg ( ) and I’m currently in Jackson WY. So, I work here for the summer and I’m struggling with REALLY BAD period cramps... like REALLY BAD. I basically can’t get out of the bed, don’t have any apetite, feel full all the time, crying because of the pain for the first three days of my period. Please give me any suggestions about how shoud I change my diet, what kind of medicine do I need and etc. Thank you so much. My email is - YYYY@YYYY Best wishes.

Hi,

As a first line management you can take drugs like Mefenemic acid for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult a gynecologist and plan an ultrasound scan to rule out pelvic collection or masses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
