Hello,
You are suffering from Darier disease. Topical retinoids, topical
corticosteroids, surgery, and
laser surgery can help to get relieve. Oral retinoids are the most effective treatment but their adverse effects can cause other complications. Do not take it without consultation with your
dermatologist or your treating doctor.
Common side effects after oral (retinoids) are black, tarry stools, bleeding, blistering, bloody stools, bone pain, burning, coldness, etc. Some side effects go away as your body adjusts to the medicine. Yet they should be taken under observation and monitoring only. To avoid trigger of the symptoms avoid exposure to sunlight or heat. Avoid any kind of bacterial infection, usually
Staphylococcus aureus.
Avoid
Herpes simplex infection or Kaposi varicelliform eruption. Darier disease can be controlled by applying moisturizers, avoiding sun exposure, wearing soft cotton clothing's to avoid heat and minimize sweating. Localized Darier disease can be treated with topical retinoids, dermabrasion, etc. Herpes simplex is treated with acyclovir or topical acyclovir ointment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
