How Can Severe Headaches Be Treated After Removal Of ParaGard IUD?
Had my aragard IUD removed on 08/3/18. Been having terrible headaches, backaches, nausea, urinating every other hour, tender breasts, mood swings. Had unprotected sex with my partner the day before it came out. Took a home pregnancy test, but came out negative. Can I be pregnant and how can I get rid of these headaches? Prescription pain meds and otc meds are not working. Thanks in advance.

How Can Severe Headaches Be Treated After Removal Of ParaGard IUD?
Hello, It is not related to IUD removal. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
