How Can Severe Pain And Swelling In The Knee And Leg Be Treated?

Hello, I was playing basketball last night felt pain in my knee kept playing then when I finished it was incredibly sore. I got home elevated and iced it then got up and it popped, instant swelling and incredible pain, today its 100 x more sore and I cant straighten my leg or change of direction really really hurts I cant weight bare much either. the pain is on the outer side of the knee and heavily in the back of the knee?

Hello,

Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. An MRI scan is required to rule out tendon or ligament injury.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Apply ice packs also.
