Hi, I am 61 yr old female with chronic pain in right side of groin. Last winter I sllpped on wet surface and did partial leg split, caught myself, did not go down to floor. It felt like I had pulled a muscle. Have been resting it as much as possible. but sometimes is severe pain. Had an x ray and was told it showed arthritis in hip. what is best treatment?
Consult an orthopedic and get an MRI scan done to look for any muscle pull or ligament injury. X-ray will not be able to detect ligament involvement and small fractures. As of now you can take analgesics like paracetamol or Diclofenac for pain relief.
Hope I have answered your query.
