How Can Severe Pain In The Left Shoulder Blade Area Be Treated?

Hi, My uncle, 76, is having severe pain from his left shoulder blade area down towards his low rib cage area. Sometimes it goes down his left arm. No injuries or sudden movements. Very painful. Joint areas don't seem to bother him. I'm not sure what type of Dr to take him to. Has been going on for Appx 2 months. Any ideas of what to do or who to see. 5/350 Norco is not helping pain. Nor has Aleeve, Tylonol 800 IBU's.

Hi,
I admire your positive outlook and congratulate you for the attitude.

Now I guess your has pain in left shoulder blade. There are lots of pathological causes responsible for it.

However let me give my opinion here.

[ According to me let me know few things first that how many days he is suffering it?Any past injury history?Has he body temperature? Has he blood pressure,Diabetics,?
I request you to do following investigations-Full blood count with differential
,ESR & ECG.
Wait and observe for the report

For this you need expert's guidance from your local doctors,
Hope this helps.
